This course is a prerequisite for taking either Extended Trip and/or Troop Camp Training.
Beyond the Troop Meeting will help volunteers, including leaders/advisors, prepare troop /group for activities beyond the normal meeting. This includes day- long adventures to two night (non-camping) overnights. This training does not include outdoor cooking or troop camping. Beyond the Troop Meeting is highly recommended for everyone and is a pre-requisite for Troop Camping (or outdoor cooking) or Extended Trips.
The 3 hour session will help leaders to determine troop/group readiness; how to lead girls in progressive steps in planning; how to teach girls to plan activities; how the girls can use Girl Scout and community resources.
