PREREQUISITE: Beyond the Troop Meeting
At least one adult per troop/group must take this course before planning and accompanying girls on extended overnight trips, Studio 2-B Destinations or international trips. Extended trips are those of three (3) or more nights requiring additional insurance purchased from the Council insurance provider.
This training is recommended for troops planning trips of any duration, especially when multiple locations or modes of transportation are involved. It should be taken well in advance of the trip so that the trained adult can share the knowledge gained with the girls as they plan. The longer the trip the girls are considering, the sooner the adult(s) should take this training.
